Accidental Death
The sum shown in the Table is paid, provided that satisfactory evidence exists that the death of the insured person occurred within 180 days from the day of sustaining physical injury due to an accident. According to the terms of the policy, this benefit is payable if the accident was the sole cause of death and occurred while the policy and coverage were in force.
Permanent total disability due to accident
The insured amount indicated in the Table is paid, provided that satisfactory evidence exists that the insured person is Permanently and Totally Disabled as described below:
- Permanent Disability: A disability that continues without interruption for at least six months and is, according to EuroLife’s physician, permanent in nature.
- Total Disability: A disability caused by an accident which occurred when the insurance policy was in force and which completely prevents the insured person from practicing their profession or any other profession or occupation that matches their education, training or experience.
The benefit is paid as a lump sum on the date the claim for benefit payment is accepted by EuroLife.
Permanent Loss (Partial Disability) due to accident %
The corresponding percentage of the insured amount set out in the Permanent Loss Benefit Percentages Table is paid, provided that satisfactory evidence exists that:
- The insured has suffered a Permanent Loss that is covered under the Permanent Loss Benefit Percentages Table, and
- The Permanent Loss is due to an accident which occurred while the policy and coverage were in force, and
- The Permanent Loss occurred within 90 days from the date of the accident, and
- The insured survived for at least 90 days after the date on which the Permanent Loss occurred.
In case of multiple Permanent Losses caused by the same accident and which have occurred either simultaneously or sequentially, the amount to be paid if claims are accepted may not exceed 100% of the insured amount for the benefit.
Medical expenses due to accident
Reasonable and customary expenses are paid for necessary medical treatment in a hospital or outside a hospital, with the maximum amount per incident shown in the Table.
Dental Expenses due to accident
It will cover medical expenses incurred in the event of an accident only
