Executive Chairman, Insurance Businesses

Aristos was appointed to the role of Group Executive Chairman Insurance Business in May 2016. In this capacity, Aristos is responsible for leading the Group Insurance Operations through the challenges of legislative reform which necessitate the implementation of organizational reform as well as the delivery of insurance modernization projects which will enable the insurance companies of the Group to adopt and effectively respond to the changing consumer needs and the volatile market environment.

To that effect, Aristos serves as an executive Chairman of both the Board of Directors of EuroLife and the Board of Directors of the General Insurance of Cyprus, where he is also the acting General Manager.

Aristos previously served as Group Director of Operations and as a General Manager of General Insurance Cyprus where he oversaw the transformation and rise of the company into a leading position in the insurance services market. Prior to joining the Group, he held the position of Manager of Corporate Finance in the Cyprus Investment and Securities Corporation.

Aristos holds a Bachelor in Accounting and Finance and a Master’s Degree in Labour Economics from the London School of Economics. Moreover, he is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus since 1985 and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales since 1984.
